Download Tenoa for Mac
Install
- Open the downloaded disk image and agree to the license.
- Double-click Install Tenoa. It copies Tenoa into your Applications folder and keeps a backup of any earlier version. Do not run Tenoa from inside the disk image.
- Open Tenoa from Applications. The first run asks you to agree to the terms and privacy policy, then starts a 14-day trial. No card, no account, no email.
Just bought a license? Your key is in two places
- The order confirmation page you landed on after paying, under "License key".
- The receipt email from Lemon Squeezy, subject "Your Tenoa for Mac — Launch License receipt". It arrives within a minute. Check spam if it does not, and check that the email you typed at checkout is the one you are looking in.
To activate: open Tenoa, go to Settings, click Enter Key, paste the key. The trial pill turns into "Licensed". One key covers up to three of your own desktop computers. The iPhone and iPad apps are free and do not need a key.
Lost the email? Go to app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders and sign in with the email you used at checkout. Every order and key is there.
What happens after 14 days
Capture, AI enrichment and Tenoa Sync pause. Your library stays fully open: browse it, search it, edit notes, export everything as Markdown. Tenoa never holds your files hostage. Buy when you are ready and enter the key.
Windows and mobile
Windows is on the way, targeting October 1. The iPhone and iPad app is free on the App Store. Both use the same license or none at all.
Questions people ask
Is it safe to open?
Yes. The app and the installer are signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without a warning.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only to activate a license key, and once a day afterwards to confirm it. Everything else works with the wifi off.
Something went wrong.
Email hello@tenoa.app with what you saw. The installer writes a log at ~/Library/Logs/Tenoa/installer.log that helps.
